So please tell me how the looting system is even remotely fair when it comes to a group. Don't get me wrong, it works well when you have a decent team who's friendly enough to work together to make it fair, but there are times when it just grinds my gears to even dare be with another group outside my guild/friends.
So lets get to my lovely story.
Decided to run some RoM dungeons with one of my friends later at night, seeing if I can get anything good, I mostly just want the money though. Our first dungeon my friend crashed and the group went on to the boss. One of the group members dies along with we (My friend was the priest), so we decided to run back. Low and behold the other two looted all the loot and ran off with it without being heard from again. So that quite pissed us off, but we decided to move onto another dungeon once it was reset.
Our second dungeon went fairly well, a very good team but little communication. I always enjoy some communication from some friendly people, keeps the group up and alive. So we went to the finial boss and killed him. Had some very good loot, some lovely rings and some really nice crafting materials... but you know... I can't have them... or anything. I got nothing, the RNG gave me 0 items from the boss. And yes, I did try everytime to get something nice. I asked to buy the nice ring from the person but they didn't even say a word. Nothing really to complain there, if I was the one with the ring it wouldn't be my fault someone else didn't get a thing, but I would give half my loot away to the person. Seriously, I'm a nice guy, possibly to nice... ugh... And when I left the dungeon I crashed... you know, to get a nice slap in the face for not getting any loot. Crashing itself is another rant intirely...
So... In two dungeons I didn't get a single item from the end boss... how is the looting even closely to fair? With scum people and horrible RNG it's impossible to get anything half decent without friends/guild. I think I'll stick to doing solo heroics from now on, at least I get some nice money off them. Of course it's not the worst ever but it is up there for one of the worst.
