Rouge dodging is a little underwhelming

When I was on the character creation screen and looking at the info on rouges, I saw this amazing footage of an enemy being beaten around and then the rouge jumping up in the air multiple times and then chain-pulling to the enemy. I can do that, but it's not much help when a melee unit can hit me 10 meters up in the air just because I was on the ground when their attack phase started. When I unlocked the double-tap dash, I got even more exited. With the Witcher 3 being one of my favorite games, combat based around dodging is something I adore, but rouge dashing isn't really dodging. It's a percentage of whether or not you'll dodge -- just RNG, and not anything that I can have fun doing. If I dash and am standing in front of the enemy when they attack, their attack doesn't hit me because I "dodged" even though I am in their line of attack. If I walk behind a slow-attacking enemy, I still get damaged by their attack even though I was out of the way because I was in front of them when their attack phase started.

This damaging behavior is pretty bland and not fun. I suggest a combat system where attacks hit if you're in the way and miss when you get out of their line of attack, and no more evasion stat buffs for rouge dashing -- the dash should just move your character to help you get out of the way. TERA online has an amazing combat system that works like this, and it is terrifically fun to fight enemies. A similar combat system in Riders of Icarus would do wonders.
