[Feedback] Guild Levels too Slow Initially

Greetings Riders!

I believe that you will want to tweek the speed at which Guilds level. Having a limit of 20 Characters is tiny, having to grind for weeks on end just to get 10 more is a bit steep. For many communities that are migrating to Riders of Icarus you're placing them in a very awkward position. How does a community with 100 players chose only 20 to play with? What happens to those other 80. How connected are they going to feel with the game being cut out of their own guild.

Sure you can create a 3 Guild Alliance for a total of 60 players initially, HOWEVER, you must be Guild Rank 3 to pull that off. With lower level characters working together to raise the guild ranks by my calculations it would take Weeks if not Months to get to Guild Rank 2. We currently have 14 in closed beta 3 and our guild is at 2,931 / 172,800 after 2 days of playing together and leveling characters up.

This is a major roadblock that prevents pre-existing communities from fully embracing your game. Either raise the initial character cap, or speed up progression to remove the roadblock. Either way if it goes live like it is today, most pre existing communities will have a rough time in Riders of Icarus and likely jump ship before they really give it a healthy go. RoI is a phenomenal game, but this is going to turn a lot of people off of it. Take my word for it, i've run a larger community in 5 different games over 15 years. We thrive in games without these kind of restrictions, we get obliterated trying to play games that do. It's like trying to fire a potato through a cheese grater.

Guilds can draw a lot of players to a game if you allow them to.
