Better Gliding Please

Gliding is so very fun! Such fast, much wind, wow!!!

But gliding on a constant downward angle does not make any sense to me!

Birds can glide stationary when they catch the wind....or even glide UPWARD.

Gliding in this game feels more like a Hand Glider then an dragon or bird! :(
