Personally I've always felt that the Familiar Pet size is way too small once you use the pet scroll on them and shrink them. What if the size was increased by say 5x times the size they are now, so that the combat pets actually come up to the characters hip level just like the pic below shows.

I'm not asking for them to be huge so that they block line of sight or cause big frame drops. Just slightly bigger so that they feel like they can protect you in battle and not cute baby size lol.
In the in-game shop you could sell permanent scrolls that resize them to different sizes if people prefer them a different size or more customization options like color, markings etc. The ideas are endless.
