I suggest giving something to people, who are helping with taming a heroic creature instead of taming it themselves. I also have a concrete suggestion for this "something":
Taming success booster that are bound to this specific heroic. I'll use Garme as an example in the following text.

Garme Success Booster (Bound)
Keep this item in your inventory to increase your chances at taming Garme by 100%. This item is consumed whether taming was a success or not.
This item also allows you to mount Garme at a higher HP-gauge than people without it.
This proposal should solve 2 problems at the same time.
First of all, everyone who's at a heroic beast is there to tame it. Once the beast goes close to tamable, dps drops significantly, stalling the taming further. Once this free taming mark madness is over, I suspect heroics will lack people to even dps them down, making taming without the backing of a guild impossible.
Second, this proposal would soothe the frustration of those who did not get to tame the heroic this time.
